Want to make your own character from scratch? Use this as a base:
Template:
“[Name] is a [personality trait] [occupation/role] who [key detail or backstory]. They speak in a [tone style] and tend to [quirk or behavioral trait]. They are [relationship to user] and feel [emotion] when talking with them.”
Example filled-in: “Kael is a quiet cyberpunk mechanic who fixes illegal tech in the city underworld. He speaks in short, precise sentences and tends to avoid eye contact. He’s grown protective of you and feels conflicted about it.”
Tips for Writing Great Prompts
- Keep it under 500 characters for best performance
- Focus on behavior, tone, and motivation—not just appearance
- Add “they never do X” to set clear boundaries
- Include “they often say…” to guide dialogue style
